Bringing Things up to Date

So this is a quick update. I haven’t posted on the blog much this month so this kind of brings things up to date for this week….

Last Saturday night I went to the Carpenters with Damo and Mark, drank some Guinness and whisky and generally had a very good time. Mark and Julie were very kind to put me up in their place. Before that Ais and I spent a few hours at Balran generally cleaning the car and horses. The next morning I was still struggling with a bad cold so decided it was time to go to the doctor to get some drugs to kick it. I haven’t been able to play squash in a week and I really miss it.

As it turned out I hadn’t been at my GP for 6 years (something I am quite proud of). He generally examined me from head to toe and asked me all sorts of questions… He was worried because I am pale (hopefully Aunty Mary isn’t reading this). My family (led by Aunty Mary) have been giving out to me for some time because I am so pale. The whole ‘I’m white and Irish’ thing was ignored. Anyway, I am waiting for blood tests that will probably say I am anaemic.

I spent the week working on various projects for Thrifty Car Rental and looking forward to my first pay check in some time. I played squash with JM on Wednesday night which was an excellent workout and I really enjoyed it, although I was really stiff the next morning.

I am heading to Limerick tomorrow with Mark, Julie, Eoin and Scottish Dave (who I haven’t met yet) to Stephen and Elke’s new place in Limerick. There is going to be a party held by Elke’s family so I am really looking forward to it. There is a possibility of going out tonight for a few pints, but I have a very early start because I am packing bags in Tesco (Roselawn) to help Ann Marie raise money for MS.

I think that is pretty much it for the moment. Today I commissioned a painting from my sister Niamh, something I am really excited about. I haven’t heard back from her yet but hopefully she will do it for me (and for the going rate).
